| Your Personal Biography |
California Collage of Arts and Crafts,BFA,MFA in Sculpture. Have done welded and painted metal sculptures,
worked in clay, both hand built and slip cast, got into painting- oil sticks, oil paint, gouache, acrylics, did monoprints and etchings for a while. When I was in art school I mainly did abstract imagery but turned to animal imagery with clay and then with paintings. I mainly do cats and dog imagery now, ducks and other little fun critters when an image excites me enough. More recently I have been creating assemblages using found stones and recycled materials to create what I call wall jewelry. I am inspired by shape and textures and visual movement and interest created by where and how you join different objects. The most work being the choice and placement of them. |
