I feel that each subject, especially wildlife, should be depicted as it actually is. Painting landscapes gives me a sense of calm and helps me appreciate the God given beauty all around us. I paint historic landmarks, because I love studying about the past and capturing the beauty and character of the old homes and buildings. My medium of choice is oil on canvas, using the glazing technique - building each layer, sometimes up to 6 layers, until I get the dimensional effect ... |
