Artist Statement for Allan Chow
|
|
|
Allan Chow was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in ‘01 with a BFA in Illustration.
Allan is a full-time designer/illustrator at The Kansas City Star while pursuing a Fine Art career at the Leopold Gallery inKC,MO. He is also pursuing his Masters Degree at UMKC actively involved in the Design dept. where he manages andart direct a student design agency called Egghead Student Design.
He is planning to teach Art fulfilling his desires to inspire young artists like himself and explore other ways of expressing himself as an artist. He continues to work hard to make a difference with his work, earn the freedom to live where he wishes and travel to seek inspirations and most importantly to be honest and true to his heart as an artist.
When he is not making Art, he is a member of Latin Rhythm Dance productions, a professional dance team in Kansas City focusing on Mambo y Salsa. He has performed and taught Salsa locally and at 2003 Chicago Salsa Congress. Please visit WWW.KCSALSA.COM for more information.
