CHENG
My work of late has been a voyage of self-discovery, exploration and a constant striving for growth and maturity. In the mad dash of today's society for "more"; I see my work as a counterpoint. A goal for each individual work is for the maximum statement with the simplest, most direct symbols and or subjects. Though a theme may have a complex nature with many subtleties and layers - my work attempts to communicate the ideas and emotions in the most concise terms possible. I strive to encompass broad ideas and themes in "simple" visual stories - The goal being a harmonious composition and complete statement. These are just some of those stories.
I don't feel that life imitates art but rather interprets it.
It's about creating an experience. It's about noticing the unnoticed,and exploring.. yourself and the world around you, and making new discoveries everyday.
