Artist Statement:
Art is an alternative to society, a way of life, a point of view, a refusal to follow rules at face value. Re-creation and reevaluation of reality are a mission for the artist.
I see the world falling appart. Civilization is not sustainable. Archaic simplicity can be a counterpoint to urban madness, at least symbolically.
Human culture and nature have been less divorced from each other.
Life has been magical. Tribal wisdom mantained balance.
In my work I don’t try to comment on the global society that surrounds

Ultra-lowtech, minimalistic process, are choices I take. Clay is
extracted nearby, processed in the studio and used without any industrial additives. Eucalyptus firewood comes from lumber leftovers.
Work is experimental in a casual way. Themes are explored with subtle differences between serial pieces.
I was always interested in nature’s litter, or less coveted natural resources such as driftwood, bamboo, stones and clay. From the humble soil we lay feet on to make objects for the tables of imaginary kings and priests ...
