Welcome to Cindy Weaver's Portfolio. Browse Weaver's body of work: I would characterize my pottery as being organically inspired and calming to the senses. I love to play with asymmetrical balance, allowing each piece of porcelain to tell me how it will evolve into its finished shape. Each work expresses fluid movement, or sometimes a growth path, often inspired by details of the human form and the human story.
Since my goal is to achieve both visual and tactile beauty, my smaller pieces are intended to encourage holding. The color and texture of their buffed surfaces are inspired by stones, weathered wood, seashells, marble, leather and bird eggs.
