Welcome to Craig Adair's Portfolio. Browse Adair's body of work: Action is inspiring. Everything seems more alive and vivid when moving. Although I paint many different things, my real subject matter is motion itself. With motion comes the emotion of the artwork--colors, forms, composition. A key element in my paintings is how differently they look at various viewing distances. From a distance, the paintings appear quite realistic (almost photographic) but as you approach the action in the painting, it explodes into an abstraction of colored shapes.
