Central to the artist's vision is the exploration of materials, images, forms and seductive surfaces that go beyond the lens of conventional expectation. Artist and sculptor, Jim Stevens' work combines fossil ivories, rare woods, precious gems and hand-wrought metals in exquisite pieces that are innovative in both artistic conception and execution. Jim's works are more than just the sum of their parts, they are remarkable for their ingenuity, use of flat and relief space and a beauty of design that transcends the value of the precious materials used.
