Artist Statement:
Carol Couric Tribou's interest in art began with drawing when she was a young child in Florida.
While majoring in Art at Dallas Baptist College, now University, her interest expanded to watercolor painting and calligraphy. This has been the majority of her work for the past 20 years. She sometimes combines both watercolor and calligraphy within her paintings.
Many of Carol's works have been published, starting in 1987. She also enjoys selling and exhibiting original paintings. Opportunities to expand her art education include attending watercolor workshops, as well as learning from prominent artist's videos and books.
"The transparent nature of watercolor fascinates me. I am captivated by the glow of light and how it dramatically enhances any subject.
God's beautiful handiwork in nature and life constantly inspire me.
While still learning to express that radiance in my paintings, my hope is that the works I create will bring glory to God and be a source of encouragement in the lives of others as well."...
