Artist Statement:
My home is the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1997 I moved to majestic Zion Canyon.
The red earth and jagged skyline are seen in some of my current work.
Two of my early passions, Anatomy and Physiology, can be seen in the torsos and figures.
The woman symbolizes creation, maternal love, fertility, and abundance.
This is my inspiration, as is humor, for making most of my work.
As far as other artists, my biggest inspirations, visually, have been the Great Masters
and Salvador Dali, as well as comic book artists.
Ceramics is the medium I've chosen primarily because its visual versatility allows me to
explore many subjects. Movement, a breath, can be suspended. Clay is physically satisfying
