| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I intially had a crush on a guy who looked like Richard Gere while I was studying film analysis at the U of Oregon. I realized later that my journey to becoming an artist was going to happen but this person served as a catalyst in my life. I saw David Hockney's exhibit of Stage Sets at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and that confirmed my passion for color.

| Your Personal Biography |
I did not start making art until the age of 21. A year later I was admitted to the San Francisco Art Institute in a scenario reminiscent of the film FLASHDANCE. I graduated with a BFA in 1989
I moved to the Philadelphia area in 1994 and for the first year and half lived in a women's hotel run by nuns.
I started becoming obsessed with flea markets and teaching myself about antiques & collectibles. I use rare and vintage ephemera in many of my collage pieces.
I have been consistently selling my work on the internet since 2003 and I strive to keep my style unique & original.
My work has feminist overtones and I often use humor to approach painful & taboo issues.
My aim in creating my drawings, paintings & collages is to form an understanding with my audience that my personal experience is their experience too and thru my exploration, I can heal myself and my audience.
