Artist Statement:
My work involves the creation
of ceramic pieces using the
pinch pottery technique. I
form the clay into an organic
shape when I carefully pinch,
carve, and smooth it out. The
pieces are then fired multiple
times. To achieve the right
finish, I use multiple firing
temperatures and techniques.

| Welcome to Danielle Sigman's Portfolio. Browse Sigman's body of work: My work involves the creation of ceramic pieces using the pinch pottery technique. I form the clay into an organic shape when I carefully pinch, carve, and smooth it out. The pieces are then fired multiple times. To achieve the right finish, I use multiple firing temperatures and techniques. On some pieces I make the walls as thin as possible to create a beautiful, fragile surface.
