What is Rococo Pop?
Rococo Pop could be an overly ornate, fancy style of art that uses everyday items of popular culture --- but since this movement is growning and expanding we will not define it at this time.
Who created the concept Rococo Pop?
Artist DiVa DEE.
How did Rococo Pop begin?
This style of artform began as paper collages. Using decorative giftwrap paper as the canvas; then cutting up popular magazines, books and everyday newspapers; then finally gluing them together in a very excessively ornate way.
When did the Rococo Pop Era of Art begin?
Rococo Pop began in 1995.
Where did the Rococo Pop Era begin?
In New York City's East Village; 1995.
Why do you call it Rococo Pop?
This was the description used for the early pieces I did...but we will not define anymore but we will continue to describe...we will continue to let Rococo Pop the Artform develop.
What are some of the elements used in Rococo Pop?
Good Angels, music notes, song lyrics/poety, word art, inspirational sayings, celebs, erotica, flowers, diamonds, bright colors, cartoons and cartoon like characters, extravegent designs,ornate designs, araqbesques designs, excessive desings, mirrors, royalty to name a few
What are the themes of Rococo Pop?
Rococo Pop was dubbed "Famous for Love" because most of Rococo Pop's themes are about love and peace. Rococo Pop blends together and celebrates glamour and grime, music, good angels, attitude and inspiring messages of healing, courage and strength.
What mediums are used in Rococo Pop?
So far the artistic mediums have been: paper collage, mixed medium, computer art, computer animation, and some graffiti art. Rococo Pop is open to any medium.
What are the goals of Rococo Pop?
To decorate the millennium with peace and love; to make people happy; to make a powerful statement but we will not define that either :)
