Artist Statement for David Geer
|
|
|
The goal of my art is to capture feeling and mood through the use of color and light. I work in both realism and impressionism and believe that regardless of an artworks style the painting must create a real emotional response in the viewer. The painting does not mean something, but rather means many things to many people. A painting to me is a success when someone looking at my painting tells me it reminds them of one of their past life experiences, especially if it is a fond memory that has been forgotten about for some time.
