Artist Statement:
My imagery is about discovery.
It takes me to places I have
never been, places that free
me from the pressures of a
clock driven world, places
that heal. I'm most excited
when in tune with the
underlying flow and energy of
the ordinary. I seek to reveal
the essence of a moment or
place gone unnoticed. I love
showing things in new ways,
using the elements of
surprise, mystery and
playfulness, fused with design
and movement.

| Your Personal Biography |
David Lorenz Winston studied photography at Pennsylvania State University where he received a B.A. in art in 1965. His work reflects a lifelong love of the natural landscape and of human nature. While David's photographs are inspired by the people and panoramas of Siberia, Peru, India, Nepal, and Tibet, much of his work is from Pennsylvania and more recently, the Pacific NW where he now resides.
Winston's images have been exhibited in numerous one person and group exhibits nationally. He has received many first place and best of show awards.
David’s work is published by UNICEF, The National Wildlife Federation, Hallmark, Pomegranate Publications, Palm Press, Borealis Press, Artists to Watch and Bruce McGaw Graphics.
