| Your Personal Biography |
I grew up in a small town in Alabama. At age three, I could draw a horse and by the age of 12 I was doing photo realistic horses. I loved them dearly, especially the Lipizzan (White stallions of the Spanish Riding School) Since the age of seven, I wanted to own one, breed them, and one day got to Austria and see them perform. One by one, my dreams were met. While at Ringling School of Art, I met Col. Hermman and saw my first live Lipizzans back in 1969. I bought my first one, a filly, back in 1973. I took my family to Austria in 1997. My passion for horses was replaced in the late 90's by a passion for nudes and florals. Today, my passion for painting has been replaced with my passion for writing. I made my living as an artist back in the 70's and again in the early 21st century. In 2003 I gave up my art to become a writer. I have shown in galleries all across the South. I've been features with a one woman show in an art museum. I've won numerous awards whenever I competed. I've even been stolen on an International scale. I packed up all of my art supplies and moved from my wonderful studio to a small home in Mobile.(after my 20 year marriage came to an end) I sold my art supplies except for my drawing supplies. Today, I create digital photography for my visual art with some drawing. Painting is gone forever. I closed one chapter in my life and started writing a new one and today I am very happy. |
