Artist Statement:
Leigh Tranchi was born and
raised in Los Angeles and
attended The Art Institute of
California where she received
her degree in Graphic Design.
Her works range widely in
scale and media to include
acrylic paintings,
watercolors, ink on papyrus,
sheet metal books, and digital
illustrations. The subject
matter in her art stems from a
fascination with the child’s
imagination and endless
curiosity of the surrealism of
life. She is inspired by
storybook art, ornamentation,
ethnic cultures, patterns, and
human interaction. She has
displayed her work with art
and music exhibitions such as
the LA Art Fest and Thrill-z,
and venues including Grand
Star Jazz Club and Hangar1018.
