My work is subject to the
direction that my life has
taken.
It lives on to become a
testament of what I
discovered,
where it was successful and
where it failed to fully
realise itself.

My hope is that my work will

working class family in
Manchester, UK in September
1951. At an early age he
displayed a passion for
painting and drawing.
Encouraged by his teacher
(Miss Johnson, St Barnabus
Church School c.1956-1967) his
parents agreed for him to
attend the Manchester High
