Artist Statement:
For years I've established myself as a colorist, which I still am, but the newest work, Listening to Raven, is essentially reflective of a corvid's moods, with subtle blue light mingling with black and gray. Layer upon layer of color produces a depth and vibrancy unique to this medium. Not knowing the rules I have developed a style that causes painters to ask me to divulge my secret. Didn’t realize I had one. I just do it. ...
