Artist Statement for Susan Woodman

|
I am a registered nurse who likes to relax by creating beautiful jewelery. In the creation of my jewelry I use sterling silver and gold filled metals with semi-precious gem stones, freshwater pearls and swarovski crystals. My designs are unique one of a kind creations, or of very limited edition.
Every piece of jewelry is personally designed and crafted by me with love and attention to detail. My love of crystals and my passion for healing are a dynamic complement to each other. I draw inspiration from many sources, some of which are; my garden, my dreams, and my love of nature.
Jewelry crafting for me is a form of artistic expression which I began many years ago as a young woman of the 60's exploring the many forms seed beads could take. Five years ago I re-discovered jewelry making and the many forms crystals take in semi-precious gem stone strands. My tastes have matured and I have continued to explore.
I am also a Reiki master and infuse the loving Reiki energy into all of my creations.
