Artist Statement:
I have been Exploring painting
the Rembrandt theory of
pemanancey with modeling
effect of collecting light,
casting shadows to try to
achieve the jewel quality
illussion of paint. I primarly
paint portraits of historical
events in Hawaiian, but I also
paint people that I am
inspired by. I have been
painting pretty much every
awake hour of my life in
various mediums, acrylic, oil,
fresco for approximately forty
years. I believe I have
masterd the portrait at this
time in my life. I can be
