|
Many times I am asked where ideas come from. There's never been any difficulty with that, because they arose one by one in almost linear fashion. The full idea for a painting would emerge in my mind as a complete mental picture somewhere towards the end of the painting I was working on. From this I would jot down a clear thumbnail image and pretty much work from that alone. Looking back on it, it seems to me the subconscious was prompting this process in an effort to build wholeness out of chaos within me. Almost like the process of art itself.
Also out now is a book on a disc covering the Renaissance. It took three years of research and writing so everything is there; all major artists,pictures, politics, literature, Medici, etc., plus presentations with notes for teaching! buy it at www.dragonflyinflight.ws
So there it is. I am in Europe now painting and working up some 3D stuff. Caio!
