Artist Statement:
I started working with oils 30
years ago and spent 14 years
under the tutelage of the late
Marshall Drew. Marshall
taught me the basics of mixing
colors and studying
composition. He left me alone
to develop my own style. I
continued studies with Robert
Kozora who taught me how to
refine my work and strive for
realism. After painting
munerous landscapes and
seascapes, I decided to try my
hand at more semi-abstract
pieces which are evident in
the "Jazz Man" and a recent
unfinished work. I enjoy
using different techniques
when I paint and have explored
impressionism and pointilism.
My work continues to evolve as
I experiment with anything
that catches my eye....
