Artist Statement for Danuta K Frydrych

|
As an artist, I wonder often what my purpose is in this world, whether my profession is really something needed. When I was younger it never occurred to me to become an artist, it wasn’t something I just decided; it was something I was born with. My hands, my dreams, my thoughts were always moving me towards drawing and painting; it was reflexive. People around me seemed to always be appreciative of my artwork and something about it made them happy. Thinking about those moments of appreciation I can truly feel like I do have a purpose and that thought allows me to create.
