Artist Statement:
I believe there is a secret
language that we share through
art. Although each of us may
interpret this language
differently, I believe that
there are universal veracities
and a common consciousness.
For me, this single mystery is
expressed through the natural
world and the human form. It
is here that I rediscover
beauty, and the art of being
human, two qualities which I
deeply mourn in our
contemporary culture.
Through painting, I call on
these elements of beauty and
humanity to re-enter the
world. It is both a selfish
invitation - because it makes
my own life more livable -and
an homage to all that I love.
