Artist Statement:
Answers. My photography is a journey for answers. I like to reflect on the meaning of life and the things I value the most. I find the answers I am looking for in the smallest things, in a microcosm of detail. I am inspired by the complexities of the world and the fundamental beauty that exists in it. The detail in my photography reflects my own life, and interprets the world around me in a comprehensive way. But things are not always what they seem and I try to figure out the existential puzzle.
I create art in both abstract and concrete images, with analogic and digital photography. I tend to use one predominant color in each series that will reflect texture, light, and composition. It is a way to emphasize my concepts and feelings that proceed from the subjects or objects I photograph. I find this activity exhilarating, the focus of my life.
In exploring many different angles and points of view, often of the same subject, in a very limited area, I find I am able to produce a new interpretation of what I see, and find the answers I seek. This is what I love about my ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Dri Reynolds was born in the southern most state of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul. She studied at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC) in Porto Alegre, where she majored in Technologies of the Imaginary, and received her Master’s Degree in Social Communication. In Taquara, she taught courses in Photography at the Faccat College and also worked as a publicity photographer.
Dri left her home in Brazil in 2006 and now lives in Athol Massachusetts with her husband Peter. This move was a life changing in all aspects including her career. She has distinguished herself and has been editorially recognized as a freelance photographer, and most recently won Second Prize for her Green Forms #3 presentation at the Viva el Arte 2007. The exhibition is promoted by ARTSWorcester Gallery at the Aurora and Centro Las Americas, in Worcester MA, to celebrate Hispanic Contemporary Art.
Dri Reynolds focuses her work on the connection between the photographed image and the feelings they produce at the deepest level. She not only agrees with the statement, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” but she adds,
“Because of the immediate way in which a photograph communicates, I believe these images can generate positive change in the world. We are all responsible for everything we do and produce and therefore must measure the effect it has on the planet.”
Her work has been exhibited in both the United States and Brazil.
