Since the late 90s my work is focused on creating works primarily related to the concept of originality, giving pattern to a creative process to which I have called Visual Rhapsody which integrates with images produced by me with other appropriate elements of the history of art, popular culture or the drawings made by children. Approaching more tangentially to the Latin and Greek definition of the word "copy" whose original meaning is "abundance".
My path to originality is very similar to a spiral.
This creative process allows me more freedom to perceive the conceptual connections that I am interested in certain topics of culture, for example, duality, the pairs complementary and dialectic, the numerical patterns seen in everyday life, the origin of archetypes, God's nature. (The life and death, knowledge itself, the full and repressed sexuality, love and disaffection, faith and reason, luck, fate, coincidence and chance or the perception of time and space, to name a few recurring themes in my work).
My curiosity and concern more pleasant it is to find these tracks of relationship and also to invent and imagine other connections. It is not my final attempt to find the answer philosophical or scientific, the important thing is the search process and the road trip that always leads me to make a work that for me is an artistic response. That path you can have as a pretext initial pre-Columbian myth of the ancient Mexicans, a Judeo-Christian tradition, a legend of Western or a nursery rhymes. My main goal is to balance the trilogy between the technique, sensitivity and reason. I usually work in various bodies of work that are completed in time, for exemple:
THE LOOKS: A series of paintings that ironic about the relationship work-viewer and questioned the idea of Aura in the art object as Walter Benjamin & Theodor Adorno.
RHAPSODY: Start with the intention of questioning the notion of artistic originality trying to take my creative process to the possible limits.
INSTALLATIONS: Ephemeral wall paintings for specific sites at which the public can intervene by placing or removing items which would alter the work. The initial pretext is the relationship of the object with time and space valuation delimiting of a work. I try to eliminate the boundaries between author, work and audience smelting in a temporary experience.
Ultimately to me the Art is a Sublime Intellectual Seduction by means of the Senses.
