Artist Statement:
Grand themes built of tiny
images, with a punch line or
two. This is what can happen
when a sense of humor is
fueled by an overabundance of
education. How many times are
we allowed to think and smile
at the same time?
These pictures take time to
create, and they encourage
some investment of time to
enjoy. They are basically
still life, with a twist -
detailed renderings that
explore the technical
possibilities of the ballpoint
pen; themes that reflect solid
academic interest, and expose
the fun in everyday activity
through visual wordplay.
