Artist Statement:
My work is influenced by both
written language &
spirituality, the concrete as
well as the ephemeral. You
will find themes and icons
from mythology and nature in
the majority of my work.
Suzanne received her BA in
distributed studies (English
and Communication) from the
University of Colorado at
Colorado Springs in 1993. She
attended graduate studies in
English Literature at the
University of West Florida
from 1995-1998. She began
making visual art in 1957 at
the age of 2. Suzanne is self
taught in the art of mosaics
and clay tile making. She is a
member of the Arts Council of
NWFL, Performing Arts
Association of Foley, AL, the
New Orleans Arts Council, and
the Eastern Shore Art Center.
