|
Elizabeth Bogard is a Texas artist who strives to express the unfathomable mystery of life in her work. The human figure is a favorite subject. She often portrays people ironically in a conventional style or pose, captured in a moment of time.
Using basic elements of design—line, shape, color, texture—the artist suggests that the seemingly unique and isolated individual experience mirrors the human condition in an indifferent and, sometimes, hostile universe.
