Why Did You Become An Artist I could not get involved enough with anything else to go any other way. I think one is born with the scenario ready - so this had to be mine. I was also "beauty addicted" be it music, nature, or watching the clouds shape and reshape... So, I had to breath that beauty in and out.

Your Personal Biography The photographer is on the photo, too!

I have no history of exhibitions as I have been all the time in my life concentrating on publishing my photos. This will most probably change in the future because at present I am happy with my space at Absolutearts.com

My life story is also not what I would like to communicate as it is subjective how someone understands it. What I like to communicate is its consequences, its meaning, its hard core - my thoughts coming out from my experiences through my soul and spirit.

I am trying to say what I would like others to know though my artwork. What my photos radiate - is myself - from within!

I am in constant search for Beauty. Beauty is the braad of my soul and the joy of my spirit.

Photography is the media for me to get the loveliness out of the huge wasteland of our present-day world.

Beauty is for me, integrity of soul and spirit and the material shade of it. It`s sine qua non is: truthfulness and kindness.

I see beauty as very human. Only humans can add love to the nature 'as is'.
The Creator has been giving us the raw material to work upon. We need to seek Him to become creative unto Him. Then, our job is to invest our love into that creative impulse and fulfill the Promise.

A human body or nature 'as is' still needs a - human touch or retouching. This is where art comes in, be it make-up artistry or painting. Or just giving our own aura to something from nature as additional touch.

In between arrogance and vanity of the fashion industry and the hyper-realism or naturalism of act photography there is a no-man`s land of Hope for me. I try to broaden this field and fill it up.

Honestly, I appreciate showing any parts of the body and act photography and/or whatever is labeled as 'pornography' too and I also appreciate a photo of a fashionable dress. But it is *how you show it* and not what you show - that makes the difference.

Artist Statement
Christoph Gabriel Gottel started making photographs from his age of 7. He simply loved to take out scenes of glamour from the world around him. From dazzling sunlight behind parachutes to mushrooms bursting out of the ground and soaring up into the sun... He was not aware of what he was doing - conceptualy. His art had just been looking as fun, as a play with beauty.
Only decades later when he learned how to include and harmonize the environment into the picture and to compose the content of a photograph in a special intuitively achieved harmonious, but highly ordered arrangement, had he come to the idea of what he actually had been doing all the while.
According to his philosophy, he was re-creating the beauty of the Creative Idea as he calls it.
"The unimaginable beauty of the limitless Inspiration of the Creator in the primeval act of conceptualization had to be re-created in the prism of a human soul as the original media of a photograph. This way the photograph becomes the media of the artist who is himself the mediator between the world and the Primeval Idea.
"The artist is looking intuitively to find outward expressions in the world of the conceptual beauty that is within him from the time immemorial in an unexpressed and limitless form. The pictures exist as living concepts, as ideas within us and we look forward to meet them or re-create them in the world".
It is Christoph`s offer to his fellow beauty-lovers: Publishment of the experience of beauty in the form of pictures.
