Artist Statement:
A former art and music
teacher, I write and
illustrate books for
publication, as well as paint
on canvas. I enjoy mixed
media - the softness of water
colors for backgrounds, the
texture of oils, and the
brightness of acrylics.
Because I believe that art is
a means to span the
generations, I hope to touch
future artists, starting, of
course, with the crew closest
to me in my profile photo. I'm
sure the future waits just
beyond -- er, or in the case
of these children -- UNDER my
easel. And such is art - the
hope for tomorrow....

While I do participate in Art
Shows, as well as Open Houses
in clients' homes, I exhibit
regularly at the Red Hill
Gallery (334 857 3077 or 334
799 7014) by Lake Martin in
Alabama. I have also been
contacted by the Sylacauga,
Alabama Art Museum to exhibit
in 2008.
