Welcome to Elizabeth Griffith's Portfolio.
My art comes mostly from my subconscious, I start with a line or a shape and it simply evolves from there. With Oil painting I can accomplish this the best because of how I can manipulate the paint into whatever I want. It is very freeing and has helped me to overcome personal struggles I have had in the past.
During my time at the University of Redlands I explored ways in which I could express my knowledge from classes, into artistic expression. This helped me push my boundaries within painting specifically. For instance, the artwork titled "Sick" was inspired by an Abnormal Psychology class that I was taking in 2011.
