Artist Statement:
The email signature I've used for many years is the best statement I can make as an artist: "Behind all these manifestations is the one radiance, which shines through all things. The function of art is to reveal this radiance through the created object." ~Joseph Campbell

| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
My biggest inspirations are actually verbal ones. The first is the poetry of e e cummings which I discovered when I was very young. The second is from the sacred writings of Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha'i Faith. I became a Baha'i in 1963. The third and final inspiration comes from the writings of Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I wanted to be an artist even when I was in grade school and never had any other ambition. However, after several years as a part-time printer and part-time advertising photographer I entered the high-tech industry on the West Coast and became a technical writer. |
