As I explore various mediums and art forms, I continue to be drawn back to abstract formats. I find, in creating abstract pieces, I can be spontaneous and adventurous. Which I love. I don't have a desired outcome in mind when I start a new piece. I do decide on a colour combination but after that there are no rules.
This painting strategy allows me to explore new techniques and learn things about my artistic self that were, up to that moment, unkown to me. I find this exciting and believe this keeps my work fresh.
