Artist Statement for Rob Alban

|
I was interested in portraiture and landscapes when I was in my late teens/early 20s but within the past few years I've focused on abstract art as it is a style that I find extremely enjoyable. I have a real passion for colour and seeing the effects created through blending one colour with another and by incorporating swirls and curves into a painting. I love creating movement in most of my work so that the viewer moves their eyes across the whole canvas, going from one colour to another, following the flow of swirls and curves.
I studied Fine Art at the UCE Birmingham (now Birmingham City University) from 2002-2005 and exhibited in the RBSA gallery and Debenhams department store in Birmingham with large airbrushed paintings.
My website euphoriaart.co.uk offers original hand painted abstract art made on triple primed, deep edge canvas. Commissions are very welcome and can be made up to a 72" x 48" size per canvas.
