Artist Statement:
If you are a romantic with a special place in your heart for old roses in your home or garden decor, then you're in the right place.
We're speaking Cottage Chic, Paris Apartment, French Country, Shabby Chic, Victorian, Romantic Cottage, English Garden... whatever you may call the style for your unquenchable desire for lush roses and a soft palate. It's here, you will find it in my mosaics.
Sometimes inspiration comes in bits and pieces. Vintage china is the medium most used in my work. I also love to incorporate old jewelry and other found objects.
Many of my pieces are transformed from vintage wares. I search for treasures such as chairs or occasional tables, long forgotten cake holders, old trays & charming tea pots to recreate into mosaic art. I also create new mirrors and beautiful door crowns from vintage china and stained glass and will do commissions to match the color of your decor. Mosaics are a wonderful creative outlet and tool to transform these vintage treasures into something new and beautiful.
I am constantly on the lookout and find the most delightful "objects" in the strangest places. I live in rural Idaho near the desert ...
