Artist Statement:
What to say? Something
brilliant would probably be
fashionable right? I am afraid
I try and stick every ounce of
brilliance I can muster into
my art. Leaves little over for
sounding charming or
intellectual. I suppose it
doesn’t help any that
brilliance is so hard to come
by eh? I certainly haven’t
seen much of it. Brilliance or
not, "art" is one of my
greater passions. My favorites
range from Da Vinci (and who
wouldn’t appreciate, Da
Vinci?), to Van Gogh, to
Michael Parkes, to Renoir, and
a lot of the modern morbid
arts or comic books (check out
HotTopic and the comics they
carry). I recently saw a MB
online for a group of people
called Psycho Artists. I
really enjoyed it. I am
thinking about taking my art
into a more morbid cartoon
direction as well. I am not
sure how that'll turn out but
who knows? I recently had a
breakthrough that really
improved my technique. Much of
that is due to a rather dear
friend of mine. Fortunately
her drive has gotten me
working aggressively at my art
again. Unfortunately I am all
thumbs when it comes to
actually showing it...
