Artist Statement for Mark And Anna Ferrill
|

|
In 2006 Mark Ferrill aged 19, enrolled in Cardiff University to study physiotherapy, In 2007, he left the college to become a painter. He is due to enrol at St Martin's College of art September 2007.
Mark Ferrill's work often depicts a state of mind rather than an external reality. His work is brimming with emotional content, often using exuberant colours to create a powerful and expressive energy, as can be seen in "Greedy Bluewater". His influences include artists such as Edvard Munch, George Grosz and Egon Schiele.
