Artist Statement for Walter Cracknell
|
|
|
Having photographed people for most of his career, Walter has always looked for the inner person to bring his portraits to life, he continues this theme by looking for the soul of his landscapes. Walter has been influenced by Ansel Adams, who once said �A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.� And �A photograph is usually looked at - seldom looked into�. Both of these quotes express how Walter looks for his subject and then how it is handles at the time of Printing.
