Artist Statement for Gabriella Saetti

I'm italian, born in 1965 and since '98 I've been devoting my time to artistic black/white photography. I own a laboratory in Modena where I develope films and print by hand. My personal works range from landscape to reportages with a mark wich I would define as " classic" in both. I love a kind of photography wich needs neither to be explained more to be told but ablets transfert emotions. In this researc I find it easier to make use of b/w ever if I have occasionally made use of colour. I've produced a book about Prague in a small series with photos in the original (150 prints, what a job!) and besides various personal exhibitions. I was pleased to exhibit in New York at the Angel Orensanz Foundation of the Art in 2002(www.orensanz.org)
