Artist Statement:
There is nothing more beautiful in the world than the human figure. Large, small, sculpted or soft, it is the beauty of life. I seek to capture all of that beauty with my brush, paint, and canvas. A lover of color, I also infuse my work with lively color palettes. The result, I hope, is a beautiful and inspiring reminder of the glory of life....

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
In Rainer Maria Rilke's book "Letters to a Young Poet," he tells his friend not to write unless he absolutely must. I paint and draw because I must. I feel creative, happy, lighter, and more alive when I'm making art. It helps me understand, and feel, who I really am. This is what I love. |

| Your Personal Biography |
Brandi Fox discovered an interest in drawing at a very young age, drawing figures and clothing on any paper she could get her hands on. It was not until high school, under the guidance of a phenomenally gifted and exceedingly kind teacher, that Brandi began to develop her drawing and painting skills. After much debate about the virtues of various college degrees, Brandi pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. There she fell in love with figure drawing. Although she went on to pursue a major in Fashion Design, and spend several years working in that industry, she never forgot her first love. What one truly loves can never stray far, and alas the time to paint has come again. Living in Italy with her son and husband, Brandi can now spend her time drawing and painting the human figure.
