Summer 2007
Currently I'm beginning to make a series of mixed media drawing/paintings on wood panels that are translations of oral narratives that I collect. Themes of the work vary. My art is storytelling. Simultaneously, I'm sensitive to many different socio-political discourses including African Diaspora and feminism. Consequently, my artwork is equally as personal as it is political.
