Artist Statement for Heather Hickey

|
The cursor is blinking, staring at me wanting answers, words that I don't have. What do I say to it, to you. Art to me is an outlet of thoughts, joys, worries. I work at night, listening to music and crawling inside of what I draw. I don't think about it I just do it. Sometimes I don't recognize it the next morning like a random passing thought. What was I thinking? I don't know but it must have been weird.
I have never taking an art class, I just draw to settle my mind, to let energy out and to feel connected to apart of the world beyond physical things. I hope to make new friends, to meet people who feel as passionate about drawing as I do.
