"Healing Gardens"
...Today Fernando is aiming
his multifaceted talents and
energies at painting his
series of oil paintings on
canvas, "Healing Gardens" as a
healing therapy. "it is
basically a reflection on how
the environment has made an
impact to the American public
on all kind of illnesses:
Cancer, arthritis, lupus,
diabetes, alzheimer's, and the
list goes on an on due in
great part to the man-made
industrial complex.
According to Dr. Roger Ulrich,
Dr. Gary Null and Dr Samuel S.
Epstein, images can in fact
alter a person's mental state
and well being. Art of the
"Healing Gardens" has a
physiological relaxation
effect, relief of anxiety and
pain, which results is a
reduction of blood pressure,
heart rate and better memory.
This tranquil imagery has made
dramatic improvements to the
mind during times of intense
