Artist Statement:
Gail Kirtz was born in
Dundalk, MD and grew up in KY.
She has studied art in college
and privately. She has been a
professional artist for
sixteen years and has taught
teenagers
and adults for ten years
Her inspiration comes from her
fascination with beauty of the
landscape, even on dreary
days. The play of light and
shadow intrigue her. Her
vibrant, painterly,
impressionistic
work has a spiritual quality.
Kirtz incorporates good use of
the principles of art to
create high quality works in a
variety of mediums.
She has exhibited in One Woman
Shows, as well as local and
national juried shows,
winning over two hundred
awards.

Gail Kirtz is an artist and teacher of children and adults.
She works in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, collage, and pastel. She has won awards in all.
She has exhibited in national and regional juried and open art shows and has won over two hundred awards, including Best Of Show.
Her works hang in corporate and private collections in several states.
Gail lives in Ashland, Kentucky, in a century old home. She has a studio in her home where she is likely to be found painting on any morning in the daybreak hours.
She is inspired by the richness and beauty of the landscape, Light and color endlessly fascinate her.
