Some contemporary philosophers think that an artist reveals his true self through his work. Barely protected by the thin layer of art.
It´s as if he exposed himself naked to the viewer saying: "This is who I am, this is what I believe in and I hope somebody else shares my point of view."
In the same way that dreams are made up of recombined elements of experiences one has had during the day, so does art reflect the experiences the artist has had during his life.
Consequently, the artist not only expresses himself but also gives testimony of the time and place he lives in.
My experience of living in Buenos Aires is the tinted glass that colours all my actions and places me in the world.
I believe that throughout my work there are several clues which indicate it was made by a "porteño" who was born in the second half of the 20th. century.
They are an intrinsic part of what I am as a person and, therefore, as an artist.
Now my artwork is introducing me to you; and I can't help feeling naked, so I tell you: "This is who I am, this is what I do and if you like this... great. Because it´s the only thing I've been capable of creating... so far.

Según ciertos filósofos contemporáneos, un artista se expone, a través de su obra, tal cual es; apenas cubierto por la delgada capa del arte. Es como si se presentara casi desnudo ante el público diciendo: "esto es quien soy, esto es aquello en lo que creo y tengo la esperanza de que alguien más comparta mi punto de vista".
Por otra parte, algunos postulan que, así como los sueños se construyen recombinando elementos de las experiencias diurnas, la obra de arte refleja las experiencias de vida del autor. En consecuencia, el artista no solamente se expresa a sí mismo sino que también da testimonio de su lugar y su tiempo.
En mi caso, creo que en todos mis trabajos hay indicios que señalan que fueron hechos por un porteño que nació en la segunda mitad del siglo veinte. Mi vivencia del Buenos Aires contemporáneo es el filtro que tamiza toda mi actividad y a la vez me sitúa en el mundo: Es una parte indisoluble de lo que soy como persona y, por lo tanto, como artista.
Hoy me presento ante ustedes, a través de mi obra, y no puedo dejar de sentirme desnudo y de decirles: "esto es lo que hago, esto es quien soy y si les gusta... perfecto, porque no soy capaz de hacer otra cosa"... "por ahora".
