Artist Statement:
I nearly uploaded the typical
artist's statement, but what
the heck- that would be
boring.

Suffice it to say that I like
to paint, I enjoy it when
people like what I've done and
doing this for a living would
be way cool, but probably
isn't going to happen. But in
the meantime, I'm painting
mostly trains when I can:
evenings and weekends.

Trains: I get ribbed a little
for painting them, but I like
the metal pitting and textures
and colorations on the old
locomotives. And I'm trying
not to paint too many typical
train "portraits"—you know,
the 3/4 view of the engine
pulling the cars.

My next series may focus on
current diesel
locomotives—after all, who
knows how long they'll be
around before something
supplants them, and they'll be
nostalgic, too!...
