Artist Statement:
A young Colombian artist born
in Bogota moved by an
extraordinary passion for
life, has developed an artwork
full of colors, main
characteristic of her
painting. With deep free
strokes she tells stories and
gives life to her characters
expressing love, music and
strong feelings in a very
simple and innocent way that
allows everyone to easily
“read and understand” her
work.
Her Latin background and her
“Joy de Vivre” are very clear
and are reflected in all her
paintings. Her style is
figurative with an
impressionistic influence.
She studied Industrial Design,
and is Business Administrator
Specialist but painting has
always been like a red line
throughout her whole career.
Through the years she
developed her own style, she
believes in the beauty of
simplicity, reflected in the
innocence that is imprinted in
her characters.
Studied art in Athena
Art-Studio Gallery in
Colombia, and holds there on a
yearly basis collective
exhibitions of her work since
1994. Currently she is living
in Belgium where she holds a
permanent exhibition of her
art work.
She started painting couples,
the purest and simplest
expression of love in a series
called “Colors of Love”, this
work lead to the “Colors of
Music” ...
