Artist Statement:
The statement of Pissoir, "Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places," are words that challenge me to interperate something as beautifully simple as a single blade of grass, into an artistic statement.
Being the only child of an avid outdoors man had a profound effect on my art. At the age of ten I was drawing ducks and geese. Today the reflections of childhood memories come through the brush and pencil creating sensitive works that forms the spirit of my work today. There are feelings in the art that come from the land. Today I record what I feel along with what I see. It is a beautiful place to be.
